Via Garibaldi 8 Posted March 21, 2017 Share #26 Posted March 21, 2017 It doesn't use any appreciable amount of battery life. The screen lights up for a couple of seconds; that's it. It's just as easy as a tap card, but far more secure. Why not? Unlike anything with a magnetic stripe, it's tokenized and protected by your fingerprint, which makes it far, far more secure than any plastic card. Oh please. Fingerprint technology is still shoddy at best. My cell phone and laptop has that crap, and I'm sticking with the old school password set up. In terms of security, the saying has always been this: biometrics should be a username, not a password.
