I'm thinking of going railfaning tomorrow since my school is closed. What Manhattan stations should I do to hunt for the slants besides W 116th Street and W 145th Street

145th street is the BEST to find a slant as special as its the northern term of the ( except rh when its goes to the br0nx

I agree with Brutticus, although it's the Bronx, Bedford Park Boulevard is a great place to check them out. You don't even have to stay in the station ,you can usually see them in the yards at Jerome.

 

Or 34th/Herald Square would probably be a good station. You'd have to run around but you'd probably see one.

If you do get a slant, do the Brighton line.

the ( has some really nice and fast runs along that line and there are lots of great photo opportunities.

Yea i like when its heading In to manhattan Goes pretty fast that it shakes left and right hard Feel like its going to fly out the tracks (R40S and mod). Somewere between Sheepshead bay to prospect park it does.
