List Status:  This list has been extended to October 17th, 2023.

Pay: The current minimum salary for Bus Operator is $24.16 per hour for a 40-hour work week, increasing to $37.42 in the sixth year of service.

List Number Called: For initial Pre-Employment: (Complete) - For Medical: (Complete)

Next Training Class: You will be scheduled with candidates of more recent Bus Operator exams (which are pinned), so check those threads for more up-to-date recent information.

Resources: DOB New Hire FAQ, Handouts & DMV Road Test Prep Videos (if necessary)

Additional: For those who will be reporting to Livingston Street in the future, click here for the pre-employment packet and click here or for extra pages of the CPD-B booklet (if you need them) for final processing. In addition, if you need help getting your Class B Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP), I would encourage you to check out cristcdl.com. Remember, the multiple-choice exams that you need to take and pass, at minimum, are General Knowledge, Air Brakes and Passenger Endorsement.

For those of you who wish to restore your name to the list, you must do so by sending an e-mail to certificationunit@dcas.nyc.gov. In your e-mail, state your full name, exam number, list number, the last four of your social security number, and a brief reason why you're restoring your name to the list. You don't have to go into full detail in the e-mail.

Good luck!!

Well, I feel very blessed to have made it this far. Based on my last comment I was seriously considering deferring for what could have been my last time. I took the chance and reported to 180 Livingston at 10am this morning. I was able to put the last 15 years of employment and to my surprise I was allow to take the urine test. I am hoping to get that work history from SSA, I don't' want them to think I purposely left some employment off. I would have been out in about 2 hours however I sat for 40 minutes before time stamping my paper. Praying I'm called for medical and have the opportunity to put the rest of my work history down once received from SSA 🙏

Was anyone asked to fill out online questionnaire on Cority before appointment ? What questionnaire and location need to be filled out ? Intructions were supposed to be attached , but it is not other the email stating that it needs to be done before appointment , the other online health questionnaire only specifies to do it day before appointment .. but Cority is a mystery.

Hi everyone

Does anyone know if they reschedule appointments due to severe weather?

my medical is Monday morning and it looks like the snow storm starts Sunday evening

thanks

Honestly, unless you get an email or a phone call from them (which they'll usually do) you go.

Congratulations!!! What should i be expecting as far as the medical part.

Click here. If you have any specific questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Although some of those posts are outdated, what the medical part consists of reflects 95% of what's described in those links in that particular thread.

Good luck!!

Medical will be a Article 19A physical required for your position. It is a medical questionnaire and health history review, vision and hearing exam, blood and pulse rate exam, urine test and physical exam. A doctor will review everything and certify you. From there you may continue pre employment.

Good luck to you !

When you’re a transit worker you have to report for work that day no matter what the weather so might as well get in that mindset now!

You are certainly right about that , my current employment requires that of me , and I will treat this no differently ! No complaints !

If you look at the link that I provided, it's a lot more than that, trust me...
