Via Garibaldi 8 Posted May 27, 2017 Share #3 Posted May 27, 2017 Very nice! Anyone know what the ads on that bus say?I actually have a few Jewish clients, including a Rabbi from Borough Park who has visited my office several times over the years. A lot of their ads talk about religious matters. I've lived in several neighborhoods such as Midwood, which contains a lot of conservative Jews, and these guys fit the bill to a tee. Williamsburg, Borough Park and Midwood consist of conservative Jews. Riverdale however has Jews from Israel, as well as Jews that fled areas of the Bronx that we're burning back in the day who ran to Riverdale, which previously was very waspy. The Jews here are much more liberal and friendly, and generally open to "outsiders", and I even frequent a few kosher places in the area for their pastries. All closed for Shabbat of course and they cut back their hours on Fridays in the winter to ensure they are home before sunset. lol

That would explain some of the images on the side...Rabbis are extremely important in any Jewish community regardless of the sect. Looks like there's a Rabbi in the second pic perhaps offering his blessing of something. Hard to see with the angle. In any event, Hebrew reads from right to left like Arabic.
