cterry1962 Posted June 19, 2017 Share #1 Posted June 19, 2017 I recently took a test for a Mnrr job, but there are no List numbers like in the Mta. When you start a job and attend classes is it based on test scores or who scored the highest, date of birth or randomly given out? Any info would be greatly appreciated. This is the first time I've been called and don't know how things go.
Fan Railer Posted June 19, 2017 Share #2 Posted June 19, 2017 I'm sure most of it is based on the amount of time you've been employed in that specific position by the RR, but as for how they determine where you start out on the seniority list when you're first hired on, I'm not sure. Truckie Posted June 23, 2017 Share #3 Posted June 23, 2017 Date of hire. When two or more have same date of hire, age with the elder being more senior. If there is a craft transfer involved, the one with more internal railroad time with have seniority over an "off the street" new hire.
