I work in construction currently, but I'm interested in something a little more stable. All my experience is in heavy equipment fabrication and repair. What job titles in the MTA/LIRR work as welders? I periodically check the employment websites of these agencies and never see any posting for welder... Ok, and if these crafts aren't listed on the exam list for this year, does that mean they are not hiring them this year? Just wanted to follow up. Met a track worker with a little less than 2 years on the job, and he mentioned he is scheduled to be trained in welding and eventually jumping to specialist pay.
