Deucey Posted August 27, 2017 Share #4 Posted August 27, 2017 ...Did they not think this through when they built they Expo line..? In California, we tend to be real cheap building transit because we hate taxes more than Grover Norquist - we just tend to be pragmatic at times.* If anything, Expo and Gold should've been built with grade separation at major intersections, and the Blue Line should be retrofitted to grade separate every level crossing between Washington and Wardlow solely because of the car v train accident rate. I also think there should be a connection for Blue Line trains to go to Santa Monica and Expo Line trains to go to Long Beach instead of making people transfer at Pico. But that's a pipe dream - especially since come 2019 that trip can be done via four trains: Blue to Willowbrook; Green to LAX; Crenshaw to Expo and Expo to Santa Monica. But only NYers take four trains. (*Saying "we" like I'm still a Californian.)
