R62A 1991 2 Posted October 6, 2008 Share #1 Posted October 6, 2008 MTA New York City Transit Service Alert Posted on:10/6/2008 7:32:46 AM Due to a police investigation at the 103rd Street-Corona Plaza Station, there is no service on the trains in both directions between the Main Street-Flushing Station and the Queensborough Plaza Station. Please expect delays in service on the trains at this time. If anyone can find the reason for this, and also find if there is train service to Manhattan, as there was 10 minutes ago, it would be greatly appreciated. metsfan 2 Posted October 6, 2008 Share #5 Posted October 6, 2008 I didn't see anything that would have pointed to signals or equipment being the issue, so that makes sense. Jumped or fell? Hope everyone involved is ok. - A
Joe 781 Posted October 6, 2008 Share #6 Posted October 6, 2008 My professor said that he jumped in front of the train just as it entered the station. That's her station, she was getting on there and noticed the huge amount of people. Said the third rail was turned off for a while as well. metsfan 2 Posted October 6, 2008 Share #7 Posted October 6, 2008 My professor said that he jumped in front of the train just as it entered the station. That's her station, she was getting on there and noticed the huge amount of people. Said the third rail was turned off for a while as well. 3rd rail shutoff would have shut down that stretch, so another puzzle piece fits in place. Very sad. If you feel you want to take your life you need to go to ER and tell someone. - A
Pablo M 201 35 Posted October 6, 2008 Share #8 Posted October 6, 2008 Wow, no trains from Flushing to Queensboro Plaza? Thats stupid. They could've turned trains as far as 74th Street.
