j express Posted September 8, 2017 Share #1 Posted September 8, 2017 This R68A ran on the during the rush hours. This is a very rare sighting as it may not happen again in the future. 4 via Mosholu Posted September 8, 2017 Share #3 Posted September 8, 2017 Very cool! How did this happen? An eight car R46 train had issues in the Jamaica Yard that caused it to be sent to the overhaul shop at Coney Island.
j express Posted September 8, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted September 8, 2017 An eight car R46 train had issues in the Jamaica Yard that caused it to be sent to the overhaul shop at Coney Island. I heard it was due to one of the train layups at Coney Island yard having issues so they used a R68A to fill in for the set. Remember the R68A was an putin out of Coney Island yard.
