Karim188 0 #1 Posted September 25, 2017 I applied for Conductor for the Staten Island Railway in December of last year and my application status says Passed Prescreening, does that mean i'll be receiving an email or a call for an interview soon? JCF85 0 #2 Posted October 11, 2017 I applied in July and my account says the same thing so I emailed them. They told me that our applications now get sent to a recruiter for a more thorough review. If our applications pass this evaluation then we may be contacted. So one more step to get through before the chance for an interview.

JCF85 0 #4 Posted October 14, 2017 Hopefully we both get called within the next few months. Good luck.
Bear10307 0 #5 Posted January 18, 2019 Hey Guys. Just wanted to see if you were called yet? I applied for Conductor too, but I'm stuck on the passed pre screening.
NYCSubwayFanatic16 0 #6 Posted January 18, 2019 I applied for this back on December 31st the first day then redid my Application on Jan 3rd because I missed something on my first. My application has been submitted that day and my application status is on applied.I hope to hear back soon as well
Bear10307 0 #7 Posted January 18, 2019 I applied to the Conductor posting in January of 2018, then again for the posting from last week. They're both on passed pre screening. I'm sure yours will go from applied to passed pre screening soon. It's just frustrating. But Railroads are very slow due to the number of applicants. Hopefully we both get called in to Livingston soon.

Bear10307 0 #9 Posted January 22, 2019 It's the application status for BSC Recruitment.

Bear10307 0 #11 Posted January 23, 2019 Oh definitely. It's a step in the right direction. Now it's just a waiting game to see if they call. I have applications from early last year that are still on passed pre screening. But we have done everything they requested of us and there is nothing else to do, other than wait. Hopefully we all get called soon. I have a good feeling that we will.

Which one do you think I'll get called on lmao
Lawrence St 1,138 #13 Posted January 24, 2019 Actually I take that back, the MNRR one still says submitted but the SIRR one says pre-screening. Darn
Bear10307 0 #14 Posted January 24, 2019 Just from reading other posts, I think there is a high probability that we will both be called by 2022. Lol. But we have to remain optimistic and ready for the call. As for your application with Metro North, I think they will call sooner than the Staten Island Railway. Tons of jobs there, large crew base, and multiple routes.

But apparently I heard a rumor that they're going faster then before with the conductor hiring process for SI because of the incoming R211S order. Anyone confirm this? Bear10307 0 #16 Posted January 25, 2019 If they go back to a two man crew with the new equipment, then we're definitely in good shape.
Lawrence St 1,138 #17 Posted February 6, 2019 So since I'll be getting a call from SIR In the future, what's the job like? How many round trips is there in an average day?
Bear10307 0 #18 Posted March 6, 2019 Have any of you heard anything? Nothing to report on my end.

Bear10307 0 #20 Posted March 10, 2019 I hearya'. It is quite frustrating though. They could call tomorrow, or two years from now. I'll definitely keep you posted if I hear anything.
Lawrence St 1,138 #21 Posted June 20, 2019 Do SIR conductors have to go through a test as well similar to B/O and T/O?

Mohamed 0 #23 Posted July 19, 2019 I saw this open up today or yesterday but according to them you have take a book examinations first and if u fail then that's it it's not like the train operator or conductor where you take the first test get your list number then get call then take the exams with the signals and so forth
Mohamed 0 #24 Posted July 19, 2019 It's like training they give the books about the rules and so on and you just gotta pass them
Lawrence St 1,138 #25 Posted July 21, 2019 I dont know why it re-opened back up when most of us are still on the "passed pre-screening" stage of the application.
