The Real Posted December 11, 2017 Share #1 Posted December 11, 2017 While this bus is "new" to the property, it is not a NEW bus. This is a August 2015 built New Flyer XD40, built to the specifications of our XD40 units numbered 7110-7139. This bus was a floating demonstrator for New Flyer but is now our bus officially. This bus is NOT part of the new 367 XD40 order. That order will start at 7484 and run to 7850. Enjoy!
BM5 via Woodhaven Posted December 11, 2017 Share #2 Posted December 11, 2017 Nice pictures. While a fan of these buses, I'm not a fan of those seats, they are rather uncomfortable to me. I've been on a few ENY LFS's with those seats and it feels like one would fall out of their seat once the BO breaks hard enough.
MysteriousBtrain Posted December 11, 2017 Share #3 Posted December 11, 2017 So this bus was an added unit to the "main order". That sounds cool.
GojiMet86 Posted December 11, 2017 Share #4 Posted December 11, 2017 A license plate look-up for AZ8589 returns 5FYD8FV07FB046217, which per the CPTDB wiki is the original 7120, which never made it because of a collision.

Where? 7120 crashed during delivery somewhere around Chicago and was later delivered as another unit built. This is the original 7120.

I was like nah too new of a bus unless in an accident... Great shots by the way !
R188 7857 Posted December 12, 2017 Share #8 Posted December 12, 2017 Nice shots. Was it ever considered that instead of making it 7483 that they could've made it 7430's replacement?

FLX9304 Posted December 13, 2017 Share #11 Posted December 13, 2017 No wonder why 7120 came in later than it was supposed to come. So the original 7120 was renumbered to 7483 instead. then 7484 & up should get the new Blue/Yellow scheme. Good shots
