The last time, it was at Corona Yard as refuse motors, the top and bottom scrolls are missing: it may receive the new single lined rollsigns that are spread all over the 1, 3 and 6 lines.

I love NY Posted November 9, 2019 Share #289 Posted November 9, 2019 The last August I have been in NYC and I often took the 7 line. I have read that the R188 car has 34/40 seats, but I have seen that it has max 28 seats, but 20 comfortably seated. What is the reality?

No matter what car you're in, the four center sections of seats fit seven people each, totaling 28. This doesn't include the corner seats. So here's the numbers: "A" Car with driver's/conductor's cab: 32 Seats (28 center + 4 corner) "B and C" cars with no cab: 40 Seats (28 Center + 12 corner) Overall they're shitty, dirty, smelly cars with very few seats available (especially during rush hour with the seat hoggers). The design is very inefficient and the R188s look like they just took a redbird out of the ocean and made it stainless steel. Absolutely THE worst train cars I've ever seen.

Side note: R42’s actually wont see service on any other line but the / until retirement. The line will have more R32’s on the line closer to it’s retirement.
