FamousNYLover Posted October 9, 2008 #1 Posted October 9, 2008 I learn that Valley Metro in Arizona, Capitoal Metro in Austin, Texas list their bus schedules and maps on books. Should MTA New York City Transit, MTA Bus Company, Long Island Bus should made their schedule booklet instead of take one? Schedule books will be free.
mark1447 Posted October 9, 2008 #2 Posted October 9, 2008 theres no need for that, people just need the route sthat they need, not addional plus the MTA has different division, MaBSTOA, Bus Company, Subway, SIRT, MNRR, Express bus, LIRR, LI Bus and so on whats the need of a HUGE book of all the routes from these divisions, there are like over 100 routes off the T/A i think the take ones from stations and buses are fine
RokuSix Posted October 9, 2008 #3 Posted October 9, 2008 I think the pamphlets should be placed in more open areas...I usually find myself in some shady corner of a train station in order to find one.
Far Rock Depot Posted October 9, 2008 #4 Posted October 9, 2008 i remember Queens Surface before the take over had something like that. they had 2 booklets both the size of a take one, one for local routes and one for express routes
Q25toJamaica Posted October 10, 2008 #5 Posted October 10, 2008 i remember Queens Surface before the take over had something like that. they had 2 booklets both the size of a take one, one for local routes and one for express routes I still have an express route one of those from 2000.
metsfan Posted October 10, 2008 #6 Posted October 10, 2008 I think what would work great is expected headways sign like (NYCT) started to implement added with info when the trains are express (when there is peak hour express only) and when late night hours start etc. - A
