Photos from Ten Years Ago

Recommended Posts

These photos were taken back in January 2008, during that 7 line G.O. when they were installing the current switches around 74th Street and removing the switches between 69th street and 61st Street. As a result, there were no 7 train service between 61st Street and Main Street Flushing. Weekday express service was also suspended because of this. Service to Main Street was replaced by shuttle buses. You would see buses that you don't normally see in Queens such as the New Flyer Ar tics and the now-retired New Flyer low-floor buses you mainly saw in Brooklyn.

Update: I can assume many of you are unable to see the photos because of that Photobucket third party hosting message. Thankfully, I downloaded the photos from there and uploaded them on Flickr. The photos should be viewable now.
