The Real Posted January 27, 2018 Share #1 Posted January 27, 2018 They're finally giving the these workhorses some love and attention, here is 1222 fresh out the booth and there is many more in the process right now. Even though 1231 had been done for a while, there was no other 1200s in the program for a while until now. 1204 (My favorite 1200), 1207-1208, 1210-1213 from Kingsbridge; 1218, 1223 from Gun Hill; and 1247, 1264, 1271, 1278, 1288 from Hale are all in various stages of the upgrade program. So, If my EDUCATED GUESS is correct, it looks like the 1200s are fully coming out of the +selectbusservice program with the new Nova LFS Smart Bus Artics coming in. So it looks like the SBS Novas displaced to other depots by the new ones at Quill will allow the 1200s to be placed into the local circuit which would allow for D60HFs to be retired. danielhg121 Posted January 28, 2018 Share #2 Posted January 28, 2018 What's in this upgrade program to be more specific? Do they get onboard surveillance because I think I noticed that on 1231. Also, why the codebreak? Do they have nothing better to do? LMAO

Upgrade program essentially includes body work and new paint, interior repairs, and mechanical upgrades as needed.
Calvin Posted January 29, 2018 Share #4 Posted January 29, 2018 This question sounds weird but will they update the LFSAs to be equipped with usb ports like the Prevosts?

So if you "educated guess" turns out to be correct, will Quill retire all their D60HF's at once, or will they do it over a period of time? Because in my opinion they are good buses and don't need to be retired yet.

I thought that, with the recent livery change, all buses from 2010 and up were suppose to be painted navy and orange, with the stripe decals to come later
