EphraimB Posted March 14, 2018 Share #1 Posted March 14, 2018 I see a suitcase symbol with a red slash over it. Does this mean that I can't bring any suitcases on my train?
CDTA Posted March 15, 2018 Share #2 Posted March 15, 2018 It just means you can't check bags. You can still bring it as a carry-on provided it meets the size requirement and it's just the one. (Or is it two? Idk check Amtrak's carry-on policy).
EphraimB Posted March 20, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted March 20, 2018 This is a long-distance train. From New York City to Miami, Florida.
Kamen Rider Posted March 21, 2018 Share #4 Posted March 21, 2018 being able to check a bag is dependent on the ability to load and unload said bag, something Deerfield Beach doesn't have. The nearest station that does is Fort Lauderdale.

I asked an attendant at ALB, and she said if it's two backpacks like the one I was carrying, it's okay. (the backpack was a Russell 20 gallon barrel backpack, which I got for $20 at Marshall's. I necroposted, I know, but I answered a question that was asked but not answered.
