April 1, 2018 Bus Service Changes

Residents from that part of The Bronx heading to Manhattan, and perhaps overnight workers returning from the campus, which is different from people heading to Mount Sinai who want earlier service. And yes, I've used it before.

And the BxM7B would've just been straight-up eliminated otherwise. It wouldn't have been cut back to PBP because it didn't even stop at PBP.

It's not different at all because we have plenty of people in Riverdale who work at Mount Sinai early in the morning and overnight that would benefit from earlier service to and from.  As I said, Albert Einstein sees people going to and from at all hours.  It's for them because they're the ones who use the bus the most particularly early in the morning on weekends.  I've used the first trips to the Bronx and some of the early ones to Manhattan on Sundays. The biggest pick-up is at the campus.  The bus fills up and empties there.  The few residents that do use it at that time wouldn't be enough to justify the service.  A handful of Morris Park people at most and a few up in Baychester if that.

Eastchester express bus schedules are now out for "Spring 2018"

Highlights:

-BxM7 gets a new 04:45 trip from Co-Op City to Midtown-23rd street

-BxM9 gets a new 04:45 trip from Throggs Neck to Midtown-23rd street

Throggs Neck has had the 4:45 AM trip since last fall IIRC.

No.  That trip was just recently added.  Technically it was added shortly before this schedule update, but it isn't that old.

You are correct, as it was added in January (not last fall).

Either way, good for them.
