ItsmeSD Posted August 1, 2018 Share #1 Posted August 1, 2018 I was so happy to get a class start date of Aug 6 for Station Agent. My happiness turned to desperation when I found out the the hours are from 7-3 at PS 248 in Brooklyn. The metronorth doesn’t start running until 4:10am...which puts me in Grand Central at 5:55am. Not enough time to take that long hideous D train ride to Brooklyn. I don’t want to be late, any suggestions?
LexAveExp5 Posted August 1, 2018 Share #2 Posted August 1, 2018 Off the top of my head I would do 4/5 to Union Square, then the N to 86th St in Brooklyn which is also close to PS248

Better yet, take the 4/5 to Barclays, and then you can take whichever comes first ( or ) there.
Tonyboy515 Posted August 1, 2018 Share #4 Posted August 1, 2018 How about the to 5th Avenue and then take the ? You’d still be taking the a long way, but 6 AM hour shouldn’t be too bad...
kosciusko Posted August 1, 2018 Share #5 Posted August 1, 2018 Grand Central to 86th in Brooklyn shouldn't take over an hour and a half. Take the to Barclay's then the or to your final destination.

checkmatechamp13 Posted August 13, 2018 Share #8 Posted August 13, 2018 On another thread, they mentioned that the union (whatever local covers station agents) is usually helpful in situations like this. Tell them in advance that you're coming from far away on the first train of the morning and would like some protection in case you occasionally come late. (On a regular day you should make it in an hour)
