Here are some I thought were interesting.

Life Cycle Replacement of Speed Enforcement Systems MW53-1958System-wide

The purpose of this project is to replace speed enforcement system with a new system providing enhanced reliability and maintainability.

Five (5) locations comprising a total of eleven (11) systems on four (4) different lines with the new system.

The locations and lines are:
1) East 117th Street Interlocking, Pelham Line
2) Hunters Point Interlocking, Pelham Line
3) Metro Tech (Lawrence) Interlocking, Broadway Line 4) Essex Street Interlocking, 6th Avenue Line and
5) Atlantic Avenue Interlocking, Eastern Parkway Line

This project will install overspeed protection equipment. The new equipment will assure that the speed enforcement system is maintainable and reliable; the first generation system suffered frequent failures due to its inability to withstand the harsh environment of the subway, or vibration on the elevated structure due to train movement. The project shall also re-evaluate the system's back- up Grade Time (GT) signal design, and modify as required to ensure that a train operator can clearly discern when GT is in effect.

 

The purpose of this project is to provide full Americans with Disabilities (ADA) accessibility at Livonia Avenue Station on the Canarsie Line in the Borough of Brooklyn.

This project will provide full Americans with Disabilities (ADA) accessibility at Livonia Avenue Station on the Canarsie Line in the Borough of Brooklyn. Work may include modification of any of the following: platforms, gates, agent booth windows, handrails, Customer Information Screens, public toilets and ramps and elevators, as needed.

The budget for this project is $14.60 million. The request is for $14.60 million.

The purpose of this project is to provide full Americans with Disabilities (ADA) accessibility at Woodhaven Boulevard Station on the Jamaica Line, Queens.

This project will provide full Americans with Disabilities (ADA) accessibility at Woodhaven Boulevard Station on the Jamaica Line in Queens. Work may include modification of any of the following: platforms, gates, agent booth windows, handrails, Customer Information Screens, public toilets and ramps and elevators, as needed.

The budget for this project is $35.00 million. The request is for $35.00 million.

The purpose of this project is to provide full Americans with Disabilities (ADA) accessibility at the 149th Street-Grand Concourse Complex on the Jerome and White Plains Road Lines in the Bronx.

The budget for this project is $85.00 million. The request is for $85.00 million.

 

This project will provide for Pre-Design for Penn Station Access.

This project will provide for program management for Penn Station Access.

This project will provide for the station construction for Penn Station Access.

This project will provide for the construction of Shops and Yards for Penn Station Access.

This project will provide for the development of specification for the procurement of Rolling Stock for Penn Station Access.

This project will provide for a General Engineering Consultant for Penn Station Access.

This project will provide for design support for Penn Station Access.
