Surprisingly, I took three Grand Avenue 2015 NFI Xcelsior XD40s without screens since the new year began.

The units were 7194, 7198, & 7241. I fear these units at Grand Avenue will be forgotten for a while since most buses at Grand Avenue Depot already have them installed....

Unless someone has a list of which buses have the equipment or bus ops put in some card.

I agree, why couldn’t they go with Version 2 for all Xcelsiors?

Right...I rode the M15 SBS today...

I remember on the 1200s, when arriving at 2nd Ave and East 13th St, the Vianovas would say...

"Next Stop, 2nd Ave and East 13th Street...Transfer available to the (L) train, M14A-SBS and M14D-SBS"

Now today...those clever devices say...

"2nd Ave, East 13th St...Transfer to (L) , M14A, and M14D".

Clever Devices are very cheap, which explains why they went with them. Funny how the MTA Bus batch of XD40s were the only Xcelsiors to receive version 2, and how MTA Bus was the only ones to receive the expensive and perfectly accurate version 4 screens.

The 2017-2019 New Flyer Xcelsior (XD40, XDE40 & XN60) have Version 2.

Which makes me wonder. Since 9500-9509 have Version 2, does this mean 9510-9619 will also get Version 2?

He was referring to retrofits.

I would expect the XDE40s or whatever to have ver 2 but who knows with 4950 and company having ver 3.

Yeahh I was referring to buses that MTA installed at the select depots, basically any blue and white bus with the screens, thanks for clearing that up.

I would hope that the XDE40s come with version 2, and installed like how they are on the XN40s. I was really confused as to why the XE60s came with Version 3 and why they did not install them with the same placement as the LFSAs, three individual screens evenly spaced out. That back to back shit on the Xcelsiors looks very tacky.

They have them installed based on where the vents are on the buses. The screen can go in the front on the XN40 cause the front has no vent.

When’s the next update?

I'm waiting until page 30 pops up. 25 posts per page, so when it gets to 24 I try to make myself the 25th post and then update the roster so it's the 1st post at the top of the next page.

This post I'm posting is post #17. So 8 more posts and we'll get an update.

Late to this but I will add that Clever Devices modified the third screen to be a smaller size and fit between the pole in the aisle and the wall of the bus, due to the fact that XD60s have the rear AC vent on the roof (and to my knowledge Version 2 doesn't have that capability)

I'm guessing that the XE60s got Version 3 for parts commonality

In all serious, BusTime that hard to modify and edit? Which division in the MTA is responsible for that? I would wholeheartedly volunteer to fix up the ENTIRE city with stop corrections. Its absurd and I don't understand why it takes so long to get shit done. All stops should be coordinated as the DOT has them marked on the streets, and if the DOT doesn't communicate with the MTA on stop relocations, it should be the drivers responsibility to report any inaccuracies with the screens (wrong transfers, premature stop announcements, late stop announcements, wrong pronunciation, etc) to their respective depots at the end of the day, or week, and have the depot submit any issues with the routes at that depot. This is some elementary school logic, I don't get what's so hard. Please can some higher up please send me to the right source? Some action needs to be taken care off, it's up to the next generation of leaders to step up and act, period.
