I wonder why they stopped installing screens on the buses...seems like we're all looking for buses that got it months/years ago that were never mentioned.

All buses 2011 and newer were supposed to get the screens installed. Then it was supposed to be all buses in the new blue and yellow scheme...now you have the all the 2015-2017 XD60s without screens, and half of the new LFSAs without screens. I was really expecting those to be priority, especially since most of them are used on SBS routes.

NG Hybrids are in the process of retirement and a handful of them have screens installed that could essentially be installed on said bus models.

I'm glad you mention about the NG's are in process of retirement. A few weeks ago, I notice one of the 7600's XD40's at Flatbush Depot had the trolley brakes connector pressure valve installed. Which means, the NF-XD buses will soon be the next replacement buses to be used for the new hired trainee's students to be trained on versus the current NG's which are currently the training buses for operators.

The Next Gen Hybrids (some of them) have the version 3 screens. If anything, they can be transferred to the 2011-13 XD-40 models, the 7000s. The Flatbush units and Ulmer, 7304-7365 are blank after the B46-SBS completed artic conversion process.

The 7000s and other 2011s are the next oldest buses after the NG Hybrids. It wouldn't make sense to install the screens onto those unless every other bus gets them before.
