1st Year if Service - 19.223233 hourly                                      

2nd Year of Service - 20.596321 hourly

3rd Year of Service - 21.969409 hourly

4th Year of Service - 23.342497 hourly

5th Year of Service - 24.715585 hourly

 6th Year of Service - 27.461761 hourly

 

Responsibilities

 

Staten Island Railway Coach Cleaners, under supervision, are responsible for cleaning all aspects of revenue service train cars, inclusive of, but not limited to, power washing exterior cars, mopping, chewing gum removal, sweeping, treating stains, and rinsing floor.  Coach Cleaners must be vigilant in their daily duties to ensure graffiti and unauthorized advertisements are not present.

Some of the physical activities performed by Staten Island Railway Coach Cleaners and environmental conditions experienced are: working in all weather conditions. Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds and carry/maintain tools throughout shift. 

Staten Island Railway Coach Cleaners may be required to work various shifts including nights, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Selection Method

Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience and interview.

All selected candidates will be subject to a full background investigation that includes employment and education.  Discrepancies may lead to dismissal.

All appointments, except for Department of Subways’ employees on MaBSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.

 

Other Information

As an employee of NYCT or MABSTOA you may be required to complete an annual financial disclosure statement with the State of New York, if your position earns more than $97,448.00 (this figure is subject to change) per year or if the position is designated as a policy maker.

Did anyone hear back about this position? I spoke with a station Cleaner at the Richmond Valley Station and he said they should start calling people in by the end of this month. Just curious if anyone heard anything.
