Springfield Avenue Tram

[A Former New Yorker]

I created an underground tram route along Springfield Ave from Valley Street to Independence Park via Newark Penn Station. Trams run local from 43rd Street to Newark Penn Station/Independence Pk on Rush Hour and Express trams run from Valley Street to Irvington Term and then non-stop express to Market St and then ends at Newark Penn Station. Trams also short turn at 43rd Street off peak. For peak service Local trams run every 4 minutes and Express trams run every 8-10 min. Off peak service Trams run every 7-8 minutes with every 15 minutes from 43rd St to Valley Street. This tram would bring development up Springfield Av and provide service to transit starved areas like the area around Independence Pk. Tram cars will be based off Eurotrams in Strasbourg It will have 92 seats and can hold 370 passengers The daily ridership would be 36,688 passengers
