I never seen a Septa Push-Pull in my life beside pictures. They seem quite rare.

Not rare at all, just only used during peak hours.

SEPTA is not getting new ones from NJT. SEPTA is getting comet 1 cars that have been sitting in the yard for years ready for retirement. When SEPTA got them they had to place New ditch lights on the cab cars, take out the restrooms and restroom walls, replace windows, and fix the seats. These cars WILL sport the current livery (blue fade to red scheme)

IDK Why they did not go with the Old classic livery. (SEPTA)

I meant that cars that weren't operating for SEPTA before will be operating for SEPTA now, and the cars will come from NJT.

Yea they aren't new cars just new to the (SEPTA) fleet. (NJT) got them from the erie & lackawanna railroad which used one terminal now long gone and then the current hoboken terminal for its passenger operations. Its sister railroad which operated into pennsylvania that it later merged with was the delaware lackawanna and western railroad, which the main line operated over the lackawanna cutoff into pa. When the comet 1's were delivered passenger services were diesel operated as they are today for the most part. (NJT) has proposed to rebuild and open the lackawanna cutoff for service into pennsylvania but they need funding for it. The cars are 35 to 38 years old and in pretty good shape. Will be a hoot seeing them at trenton in (SEPTA) livery next to (NJT) multilevels and older (SEPTA) silverliners. ;)
