Tech89 Posted February 2, 2019 Share #1 Posted February 2, 2019 So I went to Livingston on Friday 2/1 and I didn’t have my SS card because I lost it(have a new one coming in the mail) so they gave me the interview they only one question and handed me a form saying that when I get the card call to schedule another appointment but it also states that they do not hold the position but will try to place me as long as the list is active I’m low on the eligible list for bus maintainer( below 10). Therefore, as soon as you get your Social Security card, I would go down to Livingston Street ASAP. Hopefully they will be able to hire you immediately. I was being considered for the 3/18 class. I was supposed to go for final processing on 2/15 but the day before it they sent me the email saying don’t come because management has to look over my application again. So I did call the same day and ms Watson said she can’t tell me over the phone for legal purposes so I said ok. The email says they will get back to me with a decision. my thing is they didn’t even do the background check or anything yet so what could’ve been wrong? I was filling out the CPD 21pg packet but after the email I stopped cuz wats the point if I’m not going for final processing. I’m jus so confused and annoyed. It’s weird that they didn’t do a background check. Mayb they mess up and now put you on hold because of that. But I didn’t get to that. I got the invite to come and a start date for training but then they just said don’t come. And is going over my regular application that I filled out that was sent via USPS mail. But I will definitely take a trip sometime next week cuz this is stressful and unfair being the time given going to PE every time trying to switch current job schedule if possible and then having to wait or not to give job 2wk notice or not wen offered a position wit MTA just for them to say oh wait never mind.
