An off-duty MTA train conductor was charged Saturday with socking a homeless woman after getting into an argument with her and her husband aboard a Manhattan-bound A train, officials said.

Transit Authority conductor Twain Glover, 44,of Brooklyn, was hit with misdemeanor assault and given a desk appearance ticket for the 2 a.m. smackdown as the train rolled through downtown Brooklyn.

According to cops, Glover was talking to another conductor when an errant stare triggered a “what-are-you-looking-at”-style argument between him and the homeless pair.

Glover was knocked to the train floor by the couple, but bounced back up and punched the 40-year-old woman in the face, giving her a bloody nose, authorities said.

The train was stopped and responding officers took Glover into custody. Medics took the woman to Bellevue Hospital for treatment.

Glover’s family declined to comment.

According to his Facebook page, Glover recently joined the MTA and underwent training last April.

“We hold employees to high standards on and off the job,” an MTA spokesman said in a statement. “These are serious allegations and we will review this developing matter."
