BenBlue Posted March 25, 2019 Share #1 Posted March 25, 2019 I am scheduled to take the initial exam for postilion of conductor trainee for the Metro North in two weeks. I've be searching around on different forums and sites to try and find out what I need to do and to study to prepare for the test. I have gotten mixed answers. Has anyone recently taken it or know what the current format for the test is? Some say its a common sense test with basic reading comprehension and basic math. Any info would help Thanks

cathh1990 Posted February 25, 2020 Share #3 Posted February 25, 2020 I am scheduled to take the MNRR Conductor Trainee exam March 10th. I was wondering if anyone could give insight into the test. I got the study material which is similar to what I got from LIRR assistant conductor test. For that test you needed to know the definition verbatim. I am trying to get it down verbatim but its even less time. I appreciate any insight!
Realrich Posted April 22, 2022 Share #4 Posted April 22, 2022 Did you end up passing the exam? How was it?
danielhg121 Posted June 21, 2022 Share #5 Posted June 21, 2022 So I got an email to take the Assistant Conductor exam sometime in July. Did anyone else receive anything? I heard it was a dummy test which consists of reading comprehension, basic math, mechanical aptitude and a personality test? We have to also dress business casual for an exam? Seems weird, hopefully I can defer my application because I still have a year of school to finish haha.
