Amtrak41 Posted September 14, 2020 Share #809 Posted September 14, 2020 When will they start doing Queens local buses, both TA and BC ? For inter-modal passengers, OMNY is not of much use at this point.

OMNY bases and readers are being installed on NYCT stations in Queens and Brooklyn currently. IntExp Posted September 16, 2020 Share #817 Posted September 16, 2020 Interesting tweet from the NYCT Twitter account earlier today....is this hinting at fare capping already happening or about to be introduced once it's available system wide?

It doesn't exist now, but yes, the payment system does have the capability of capping what you pay. Depends on what the wants to do. For now, it's pay-per-ride only until they decide on what they want to do in terms of passes, etc. Edited September 16, 2020 by Via Garibaldi 8

Shit needs to work at five 9s of reliability in the relatively crap conditions of your average subway station. Locally, the local light rail system decided they could cheap out and buy normal instead of transit rated escalators, and then they proceeded to break so often that they are now replacing all of them four years later.
Eric B Posted September 22, 2020 Share #825 Posted September 22, 2020 Myrtle-Wyckoff is up and running! (Was still dark going to work, but fully operational going hime. Now if only they gave us passes that used them! Seemed like they weren't even thoght about over here until very recently.
