INDman Posted August 18, 2009 Share #228 Posted August 18, 2009 While I held on to an R40 and an R42 sign for some friends, I opened them up and cleaned them and reset some of the rollers. Alot of shit shifts around when they are moved.
LRG Posted August 18, 2009 Share #229 Posted August 18, 2009 I am officially jealous of everyone here because they have something as awesome as rollsigns! LMAO just kidding! I have a few signs and timetables and maps but with my cell phone camera, you guys would laugh compared to the shots you have. I'm getting a camera in a few weeks so I'll have my shots up by then. In the meantime keep posting up your pics guys! I am also looking into buying a pair of slants and even a R40M and an R42 to make that infamous 4460/4665 mismatch! islandmodelworks.com have them in HO scale and a car only costs $55.

LRG Posted August 22, 2009 Share #233 Posted August 22, 2009 where did you get those paper subway timetables from? I never seen them in any station. If you don't see them in plain sight at a station, you can ask the clerk for one. You could also go to 3 Stone Street in Manhattan and you can take as much as you want.

INDman Posted August 23, 2009 Share #235 Posted August 23, 2009 how do you reset the rollers? You need to open up the sign box, it's kinda hard to explain though. Since I don't have that type of sign, I can't explain it step by step.

bveguy Posted September 9, 2009 Share #247 Posted September 9, 2009 We either ask a station cleaner for it, or wait till the station is COMPLETELY empty and then take the posters off.
Zman Posted September 9, 2009 Share #248 Posted September 9, 2009 We either ask a station cleaner for it, or wait till the station is COMPLETELY empty and then take the posters off. Hopefully the signs are expired when you do that.
bveguy Posted September 10, 2009 Share #249 Posted September 10, 2009 Hopefully the signs are expired when you do that. Don't worry, they are. If they're not expired, I leave it. Speaking of that, here's another one... It's been quite an amount of days since it expired... and they still haven't taken it off for some apparent reason. But the station agent also said I can have it...
