INDman Posted May 16, 2009 Share #176 Posted May 16, 2009 (edited) Awsome hard hat, now all you need is a safety vest and a flashlight and you are ready to work. I just got a white one from Capital Program Managment but I'm in PA and can't post pics yet. Edited May 16, 2009 by INDman

Well I do already have a Neon Green type vest, so I guess I would just need the flashlight.

INDman Posted May 17, 2009 Share #182 Posted May 17, 2009 Well I do already have a Neon Green type vest, so I guess I would just need the flashlight. Ah, not neon green! You'll stick out like a sore thumb. You need a transit vest to complete the look.

MattTrain Posted May 17, 2009 Share #184 Posted May 17, 2009 Metatops- How did you get so many copies of the same thing? Good question, I just take one bus map for each borough every day, sometimes as much as like five per day. These can really pile up.
Amtrak7 Posted May 17, 2009 Share #185 Posted May 17, 2009 Is there any place where one can get bus/subway schedules/maps without asking an employee? That would make it much easier to get schedules for many different lines at once.
bveguy Posted May 17, 2009 Share #186 Posted May 17, 2009 For bus schedules/maps, you can get a couple on board a bus. Most of the time, the "Take One" slots on buses are filled with bus timetables. That's where I got all of mine from.
Amtrak7 Posted May 17, 2009 Share #187 Posted May 17, 2009 I don't think the O7 OG/NG has Take One containers, don't they?
bveguy Posted May 18, 2009 Share #188 Posted May 18, 2009 The OG has them, but I've only seen them on a few of them. Otherwise, they don't have them.

INDman Posted May 30, 2009 Share #194 Posted May 30, 2009 I know I know, I have way too much stuff, but this should be the last one for a while. A new hard hat for my collection. This green one is from the station department, workers who fix platfrom edges, change signs, paint colums, and anything else that has to do with the up keep of station.

Aqueduct Posted May 30, 2009 Share #196 Posted May 30, 2009 My dad has an old IND sign saying "TO MANHATTAN" hanging in his garage and a few old oil lanterns that he modified to electrical lamps. I have to take some pics of it and post it here.
R10 2952 Posted June 2, 2009 Share #197 Posted June 2, 2009 My minute collection consists of a pair of "NYCTA"-stamped gloves, AND.... a screw used to hold the hinged metal panel over the door motor in place. From an R-40 Slant, it hit me on the head when it fell out of its hole. I then proceeded to annex it, and so it became a part of my realm.... One day I hope to buy a front and side rollsign from an R-40, a Flipdot sign from an R-38, a side rollsign from an R-32 (specifically, the one with the manual cranks), Redbird rollsigns, and a car number plate from an R-38.
