BM5 via Woodhaven Posted August 10, 2019 Share #1 Posted August 10, 2019 Below is a video of an train originating from Crescent Street on the (J), and running to 96th Street, and another of an train at Norwood Avenue. About two weeks ago, broken switches at Myrtle Avenue-Broadway disrupted service on the and for most of the day. trains were rerouted along the out to Jamaica Center (later only to Crescent Street), because trains were terminating on the local track at Broadway Junction. The Crescent Street scenario ended up stalling trains in both directions and creating even more delays, which caused trains to be sent back to Jamaica Center (you see one in the video at around 1:55). While full service on both routes was resumed at around 8:45 PM, many rerouted trains were still out far on the until much later. Those trips in a way followed part the old KK route (168 Street-57 Street/6th Avenue). Also below is footage of R62s on the and .
