The changes include the continued expansion of service to Newark Liberty International Airport, with trips added to the No. 62 bus route between Newark Penn Station and the airport, as well as south of the airport to and from Rahway. In addition, selected No. 107 trips to and from New York, Irvington and South Orange will operate via Union City and the north area of Newark Liberty International Airport on weekdays. JT22CW Posted December 24, 2007 Share #3 Posted December 24, 2007 They sure are upping the number of 62 short trips. Newark needs a more frequent bus between EWR and its downtown, and it shouldn't have to go any further south. Pity the 18 North Newark is gone; that would have been a good candidate to extend to EWR. (How about breaking off the 27 to Bloomfield and turn it into, for example, the 30 Bloomfield-EWR? then get rid of the 74 Union Avenue branch and give it back to the 27.) Maybe making it every 5 or 6 to 7 minutes instead of 10 minutes. the problem are the trips going to NWK Penn. NJT really needs to add more trips out of EWR to NWK Penn because many are delayed that come away from EWR like Elizabeth and whatnot. BUT, the thing that really puts a dagger in it is the RAILink station and NJT advises ppl to take the train to EWR instead of the bus.
