anon Posted September 26, 2019 Share #1 Posted September 26, 2019 I am interested in the question of how much free time/free mental space different jobs leave a person with. My ideal job is one where one would be allowed to read and also able to read without impeding job performance. Listening to audiobooks works too. So... are train operators and/or conductors allowed to read (or listen to audiobooks) on the job? DO train operators conductors read (or listen to audiobooks) on the job? Or are there enough demands/interruptions that it isn't really feasible? Thanks in advance for you replies.
mediccjh Posted October 17, 2019 Share #2 Posted October 17, 2019 You are allowed to read and/or use electronics on authorized breaks in the crew rooms. If you do it in the cab, you will be taken out of service.
