JLiu15 Posted February 25, 2021 Share #301 Posted February 25, 2021 Looks like 20807's engine door has a vent in it now. They're getting modded already? 😮
DaTransitMan4608 Posted February 25, 2021 Share #302 Posted February 25, 2021 20848 is at Big Tree. I expect 20846 and 20849 to follow if 846 is not there already. 20897 and possibly 20900 are at CMF.
davemackey Posted February 25, 2021 Author Share #303 Posted February 25, 2021 Everything has been inspected except 20905, 20907, 20909 and 20910. 20897 and 20900 went to CMF today from the Sicklerville lot, as well as MCI 21061. I think within a week or two, all of the New Flyer buses will be in revenue. As of right now there are only two Neoplans left to be retired - 9503 and 9530. Fare thee well.

JLiu15 Posted March 2, 2021 Share #307 Posted March 2, 2021 20883 and 20885 at Fairview. Looks like Hilton probably won't be keeping any of their 20880s.

davemackey Posted March 4, 2021 Author Share #310 Posted March 4, 2021 All 110 New Flyers are on the property. All have been inspected except 20905 and 20907. Today, 20909 and 20910 were inspected. Now Meadowlands just has to put them on the street.

Guessing they probably took out the farebox.

JLiu15 Posted March 29, 2021 Share #313 Posted March 29, 2021 20906 currently on 158. Wonder if Meadowlands will be doing 158 as well; heard they're doing 159 alongside Fairview.

davemackey Posted March 31, 2021 Author Share #315 Posted March 31, 2021 The only buses that are not yet in service are 20901, 20905, and 20908-20910. Everything should be at CMF getting final prep. So it looks like NJT will come pretty close to their prediction that all these buses will be in service by the end of the quarter, which is today.
JLiu15 Posted April 1, 2021 Share #316 Posted April 1, 2021 Looks like 20807-20809 all have a modified engine door with vents. Probably testing if it helps with cooling the engine.

davemackey Posted April 1, 2021 Author Share #318 Posted April 1, 2021 20905 active. 20910 will be the last one to go into revenue. What a long strange trip it's been.
davemackey Posted April 16, 2021 Author Share #319 Posted April 16, 2021 Wondering to no one in particular if 20910 is going to be a training bus. I have yet to see it tracking.

MysteriousBtrain Posted December 16, 2022 Share #321 Posted December 16, 2022 Order is not finished yet. Order compiles for 85 artics in the initial order with 85 option units. 85 XD60 buses were delivered in the base order during 2020 (20801-20885), with 25 options exercised by 2021 (20886-20910) and the final 60 being ordered beginning no later than 2024 (24801-24860?). These 60 buses will replace at least 40 aging NABI units: https://www.nj.com/news/2022/12/nj-transit-spending-97m-for-new-buses-a-ferry-and-to-rebuild-locomotives.html
