What will get you to Atlantic Avenue from Bedford Park Blvd faster, the (4) or the (D) during the AM rush?

both the (4) and :D: would be faster than the (B), but i think the (4) would be faster

Challenging challenger:

  1. Coney Island–Stillwell Avenue to Flushing–Main Street (midday)
    • (D)(7)
    • (D)(E)(7)
    • (D)(F)(7)
    • (F)(7)
    • (F)(G)(7)
    • (N)(7)
    • (Q)(7)
    • (Q)(B)(7)
    • (Q)(B)(E)(7)
    • (Q)(B)(F)(7)
    • (Q)(B)(N)(7)
    • (Q)(F)(7)
  2. Flushing–Main Street to Coney Island–Stillwell Avenue (PM rush)
    • (reverse of above)

Calculate the minimum travel time, maximum travel time, average travel time, and variance. 😀

1) (Q) > (B) > (7)

2) (7) > (G) > (F)

==================================================

Alright, three dudes simultaneously board the (C), the (J), and the (L) at Broadway Junction during the midday... Running is prohibited.

Which one of them will end up on a (2) platform in Manhattan first ?

The (C) - take it to Fulton.

Fastest way to JFK from the one of the Lenox Line (2)(3) stations. Trains only, and no out of system transfers.

(2)(3) to TSQ to (E), or to Fulton St for (A) Rockaway?

I'd take the (E) at 42 St over the (A).

The (A) only skips 23 and Spring St in Manhattan, and 9 Fulton St Stations.

The (E) skips 10 stops on Queens Blvd. And is Fast on QBL.

The (E) is 13 stops from 42 St to JFK.

The (A) is 19 stops from 42 to JFK

You could even argue a <7> to the (E) at 74 thanks to frequent (7) service.

(Q) to Prospect Park for (S) to Franklin Av for (C) to Nostrand for (A).

———

You’re on Eastern Pkwy at Nostrand and wanna get to LGA. What’s faster:

(3) to Franklin to (4)(5) to GCT to (7)<7> to Q70

(3) to Utica to (4) to GCT to (7)<7> to Q70

(3) to Franklin to (4)(5) to 125 for M60

(3) to Utica to (4) to 125 for M60

(3) to Franklin to (S) to Franklin to (C) to Hoyt to (G) to Court Sq to (7)<7> to Q70

(3) to Franklin to (4)(5) to Atlantic to (N) to Astoria Bl for M60

(3) to Franklin to (4)(5) to Atlantic to (N) to TSQ to (7)<7> to Q70?

(For (7)<7>, it’s to 61st St.)

EDIT:

 (3) to Junius St to the OOS transfer to (L) at Livonia to (G) at Lorimer/Met Av to Court Sq to (7)<7> to 61st St to Q70

(3) to Franklin Avenue to catch the (4) or (5). Take either one to Grand Central to take a <7> to Junction Blvd and take the Q72 Bus to LGA Airport.

The reason why I chose the Q72 is because by the time you get off at Junction Blvd and Roosevelt Avenue, the Q72 has very few stops to the airport so you deal with less traffic than taking the M60 or Q70.

If it's off peak, I would do the Metro North options. Peak I would do the Bx7, (A) to (D)

Which is faster from Atlantic Terminal to White Plains?

(4) to BL-20

(5) to BL-60

(2) to BL-40

Or something else?

Having ridden the BL20 back when I had my PO Box in Scarsdale when living in University Heights, I’m gonna go with (5) to BL60 - since (2) north of 180th St is slow.

What’s faster to Bay Plaza from GCT:

(4) to Bx12-SBS

(7) local to Q50

(Edit: I deliberately excluded (6)<6>.)
