Strange Subway Rollsigns

Recommended Posts

@OrionVIIonM79 I’ve seen a few:

I saw a <C> rollsign recently.

I’ve also seen (orangeQ) rollsigns on the (Q), along with <Q> rollsigns on the (N)

Pop-Quiz Question: What model did these roll signs show up on and for what reason?

The R110B, and for the possible 1991/92 (?) budget cuts/service changes

An R46 (C) signed as a (K) to Euclid

And an R62A (6) signed as an 11 train from Pelham Bay Park

I don't have the videos RN, but in 2 seperate videos I caught a (B) train with its rollsign in between (B) and (D) on the back. At the same station, the very next train, a (C) train, had one of its rollsigns shown as a yellow (D) train

I actually saw a <Q> on the back of  an R46 (Q) train (twice, probably the same consist), and another R46 (Q) with some of the side LCD displays set to the (K) .

This is kind of cool that this happened

On the back of a (B) train, the rollsign was in between (B) and (D)

The very next train was an R160 (A) train (was very rare back in 2018 when this happened)

The train after that was an R32 (C) train with a yellow (D) on the side of the 4th car.
