Guest MTA Bus Posted October 29, 2008 #1 Posted October 29, 2008 Should MTA run on the M60. Because the M60 is really busy, espacilly during rush hour.
trainfan22 Posted October 29, 2008 #2 Posted October 29, 2008 Yes, it sucks that only hybrids with limted space run on the M60. They should run RTS's on the route. But IIRC theres no artics at mantthanville depot so the next best thing is the RTS's. Or transfer the M60 to 126th street depot.
FamousNYLover Posted October 29, 2008 #3 Posted October 29, 2008 Articulated Bus on M60 bus cannot handle narrow roadways in LGA roadways like from Bowery Bay Blvd to Marine Air Terminal. Maybe it should get MCI Coach Bus or ex-Command CNG Express Bus (not the MTA one) to use on M60, Q33, Q48, Q72, Q47, Q10, B15, Q3 bus.

Sorry those buses don't need CNG's and MCI's are only for express routes!

M60 did had RTS NovaBus on that route until Manhattanville lost their minds but put cramped interior on wheels on that route knowing that bus goes in and out of a busy airport and by the time the bus hits 125th Street it damn near packed from front to back
PATCOman Posted October 30, 2008 #9 Posted October 30, 2008 Occasionally, an RTS would appear on the M60. Plus many people use the Bx15/ M100/ M101/ M60 to go like 1-2 stops on 125 Street. One time a couple years ago, I outwalked a Bx15 from Broadway to Lexington Avenue!
