Due to switch problems at the Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard Station:

(W) train service has been suspended the entire line.

Selected Astoria-bound (N) trains are terminating at the 57th Street-7th Avenue Station or the Queensboro Plaza Station.

Stations being bypassed are: 39th Avenue, 36th Avenue, Broadway, 30th Avenue, Astoria Boulevard and Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard.

As an alternative, customers are advised to take Q69 or Q102 bus making nearby station stops.

Please expect delays in service on the (N) and (W) trains at this time.

Now how can Astoria - Ditmas be bypassed if its the Terminal??

Because those trains are not going that far. "Bypassed" is actually what is the wrong word, since it's not passing there at all.

If the (W) is NOT running, then how could there be delays on the (W) line?

How could you take the Q69 bus making "nearby stops"? If you don't know the line you should consult a bus map for this one, but if you do you will notice that the Q69 stops at QBP with the N/W. It then turns to 21st St. (half a mile from the Astoria El), then turns on Ditmars and then passes the Ditmars Blvd. station. Not exactly nearby to anyone in betwene thsoe stops, but hey if one stop is served then I guess it counts.
