R160A-2s Are Now In Service!

Recommended Posts

Today, 8673 - 8682 & 8683 - 8692 were in service on the (Q) line today, caught me by total surprise. Also, it appears to me that the highest R160B car in revenue service is 9087, but I could be wrong. 9087 was seen on the (N). I'll post vids and pics soon.

Cool. Anybody know how many 68/68A's are left on my beloved (Q)?

Normally, it seems that about half to a little less than half of the (Q) trains are R68/A's. I saw that new R160 on my way to school today. It had a distinguished swooshing sound when the doors opened. It was very new, without any advertisements up yet.

Today I saw the whole (Q) train line. 2 R68s and 2 R68As roamed the line ( or 3 )

The majority of the (Q) was R160

Like Majinvegeta said As far as I know, in the morning on my way to coney island i usually see R160B most of the times. Occassionally i see a R68A but i saw a change over the weekend... there are more R68 on the (Q) than R68A.

In conclusion, based on everyone's observations, it can be said that between 1/3 to 1/2 of the fleet is hippo. I have to check for myself tomorrow when I head to the Brighton.

I remember someone on Subchat saying that they saw 9102 at 207th. Does 9103 and ownard have Siemens, Alstom, or do we just have to see for ourselves?

i'll be pissed if they go back to alstom. i mean, it's not that it is bad or anything, but i just like how the siemens sounds.

Theyre 90% Siemens.... and let me tell you. Theres problems with them already and only a select few of us know how to fix them. As for the 9102... i never looked at the numbers. Ill check tommorow. Its very possible

As per subchat, 9103-9107 will be Alstom. Only on subchat, THIS HAS NOT BEEN CONFIRMED. But I'd be happy to have some more Alstom sets.
