R160A Testing on the (E)

I just came from 23rd st and I saw an R160A testing on the (E) just now!!!!!

 

 

I got a pic and a video, The video is very short but still good:

In several spots you can switch between (E) and (F), so not surprising. Will be strange to see NTT at chambers!!

if that was 8703-8712, that set was on the F earlier today @ 11am.

 

i paused the vid where the car # was. was kind of grainy, but i kind of made out 8683.

Nice, wish they can starts CBTC on the (E)... but then again it will have to be done on any train that connest with the (E), like the (A)(C)(F)(G)(R)(V) and a never ending chain

So in 2009 the R160 will begin running on the (E)/(F)/®

 

Its might be in testing for the (E) and (R), I know the (F) is gonna get the remains..

what ever the (E)(F)(R) get of the R160's, they will still be supplemented with the R179's

 

The R179s have not been ordered and if they do, the earliest you can expect to see them in service is 2012.

Great news! I think it's wonderful how they want to convert Jamaica from R32 and R46s to R160A-2s and R46s. They only need testing on the (G) and BAM, Queens Blvd. is done testing.
