Or I have a simple solution, instead of doing that, why don't they, I don't know, make a new exam instead of relying on one that was done in 2016? Just my two cents.

That could be done, but they have not finished the motormen list for 2016. That is where the problem lies.

They have to go through the listing that they had for 2016 before they decide to do a new Motormen examination under the civil service circuit. They have already released a bus driver examination for the private bus companies (Command, Liberty Lines Express, Green Bus Lines, Triboro Coach, New York Bus Service, Queens Surface, and Jamaica Buses).
