The (N) via west end?

I was going to brooklyn today. It was about 3:30PM and when i was waiting for the at 59st and lex ave, i see an R160 pulling into the station with the sign saying that its going to astoria ditmars via west end. All the R160 trains i saw said via west end. Anybody here knew what was going on.

Then, i see an R160 pulling into the station with the sign saying that its going to astoria ditmars via west end. All the R160 trains i saw said via west end. Anybody here knew what was going on.

 

Manhattan Bound trains probably ran via the West End between Stillwell Av and 36 St.

Yeah,they've been doing that a lot lately. Last week it was the other direction which really affected me because I was going from 8th Avenue to Bay Pkwy.Luckilly it was almost 3:00 so I just waited till then.

Yep it's a weekday thing from 10am-3pm for Manhattan bound trains...not sure for how many more weeks though
