Harry Posted September 4, 2007 Share #1 Posted September 4, 2007 I was at my friends barbecue last night and we had a brief discussion about movies with the NYC subway in them. Also about two weeks ago there was an article in the news about the best subway movies. Post movies here featuring the NYC subway. I'll start with the obvious ones: The Warriors The Taking of Pelham One Two Three

Pablo M 201 Posted September 4, 2007 Share #8 Posted September 4, 2007 Spiderman With the NYC Subway, Spiderman 1 and Spiderman 3. In Spiderman 2, they used CTA in Chicago. -------------------------------------------------------------- But the best movie with the subway involved IMO is The Taking of Pelham One Two Three. error46146 Posted September 5, 2007 Share #9 Posted September 5, 2007 i am suprised no one said the wonderful Men in Black !! i love the beginning of the movie where the giant subway eating worm like eats up half of the R32 C train..lol i liked how they made it so realistic, considering obviously it was not a real train they used in that. Brighton Local Posted September 5, 2007 Share #10 Posted September 5, 2007 My all time FAVORITE MOVIE : Ghostbusters / Ghostbusters 2 GhostBusters 2, they were in the "abandoned " subway tunnel.. As Egon stated ( Harold Ramis) , the NY Central derailed in 1929, killed hundreds of people... ( they were looking for the slime flow whoch led them to the SUBWAY tunnel, for the Pneumatic Transit from the 1880's) This is the tunnel in which i believe ran under the current bdwy R/W lines near City Hall / Canal or Prince, which the diggers actually found the original station and subway car that was used ... -------------------------- HBO Subway stories!( Bonnie Hunt, Dennis Leary and about another 15 actors/actress') wow nobody hAS SEEN subway stories? ------------------------------------ The Undead Express--- Chauncy Leopardi plays a kid named "Zach" in this film in which he is black maled to free Vampires that live in the subway system.. --------------------------------------- Mimic-- The alien -bug inpersonators.. The station they used was totally fake and was filmed in canada i think.. It was supposed to be Delancy/Essex on the F I believe.... ----------------------------------------- Little Nikky- Adam Sandler, fake "K" train at Grand Central ----------------------------------------- The Blues Brothers featured alot of the Chicago Transit Authority El Lines ------------------------------------------------ The Honeymooners ( new one)--They live right on top of the J/Z lines i belive. I remember seeing R-42'S -------------------------------------------------- The Bone Collector- Denzel Washington( the man!!!) Angelina Jolie; At one part of the movie, Angelina must go to an abandobed part of S0uth ferry , right near the Staten Is ferry , and goes into a tunnel where looks to be an R-1/9 lying on its side with a 5-7 didgit car number; hence the car number mathcing Denzel washington's badge number......... ------------------------------------------------ The Siege - Denzel Wash, Annette Benning, Bruce Willis; Arab terrorists start blowing things up in NYC ( pre 9-11) this movie is from 1998 . They blow an RTS bus, and the J/M/Z is shown alot in the background near the Williamsburg Bridge approach, on the Brooklyn Side. --------------------------------------------------- Two Weeks Notice-- Sandra Bullock, Hugh Grant; Sandras Mother lives in Brighton Beach, Couple of shots of the Q train.. ---------------------------------------------------- Maximum Risk -- Joh claude van daam, Natasha Henstridge; Agents go after some Russian mobsters... U see a nice eveing shot of R68A'S on the Q pulling into Brighton Beach, on the express tracks ( 1996 movie). Then JCVD, gets into a fight, runs up the stpes at Brighton Beach whoch is signed for the (D/ Orange Q), then its a fake brighon bch elevated station. 2 "Q" Trains with yellow circles <Toronto Used Cra> almost hit John before he falls from the El onto the street... Thats it for now for me in which i can recall.. Zach

Maybe same train, dif timing Most likely those were probably Mike Hodurski's you saw on nycsubway.org. He was the one that told me about an R42 being used to film a movie and took me to the station and just chilled around.
