The highlight includes the creation of three new routes (1 New Haven Area, 1 in Central CT, and 1 Fastrak), and the elimination of three Hartford area routes (2 local, 1 express). Many other routes will be streamlined, rerouted, truncated, or extended. There are many schedule changes which will result in a net increase in service provided, due to an increase in funding by the CT legislature. Below are the set of major changes, with improvements colored in blue, reductions colored in red, new routes in purple, and neutral changes in black: Hartford Local 30 - Sunday Service Enhancements Buses will now operate every 60 minutes from 4-7 AM instead of every 70-80 minutes Buses will now operate every 40 minutes from 7 AM - 6 PM instead of every 70 minutes 32 - Service Expansion to All Off-Peak Periods Minus Overnight Service will now operate throughout the day instead of rush hours only Will replace Route 34 service which will be rerouted off Windsor Avenue 34 - All Service to Operate Express via I-91 HOV, Frequency and Capacity Improvements The peak hour 34X variant making no stops between Downtown Hartford and Poquonock Park & Ride via I-91 will now be the sole pattern for all trips Service along Windsor Avenue will be discontinued, with local service provided by the 32 and 36 Service during peak traveling hours will operate more frequently Buses will run with articulated buses whenever possible Service to Windsor Avenue will be provided by the 32 Service on Weston Street will be provided bu the 38 38 - Route Adjustment All 38 (no "C" suffix) buses will run on Weston Street between New Road and Jennings Street, no longer serving Leibert Road or the CT Transit office All 38C buses will run on Weston Street north of New Road until Jennings Street, then operate to the CT Transit office via Jennings St & Leibert Road Route 38 (no "C" suffix) service will be reduced to every 40 minutes during peak hours and every 100 minutes during middays (vs 20-40 peak and 60 midday) 45 - Route Eliminated Service to be replaced by the new 125, running daily service at more consistent intervals throughout the day 47 - Branch to the Berlin Turnpike Eliminated Route 47B will be eliminated Unclear if buses will turn into 47R trips, will become regular 47 trips, or outright eliminated For service to Berlin Turnpike from Downtown Hartford, use the new CT Fastrak Route 125 For service to Berlin Turnpike south of Downtown Hartford, use Routes 37, 39, 41, 144 to/from the 125 54X - Longer Express section via I-91 HOV for Faster Trips to Downtown Hartford Buses will now travel on I-91 to/from Exit 37 (Bloomfield Ave) in Windsor Stops on route between Old Windsor Road and Cottage Grove Road will be eliminated Discontinued stops served by local Route 54 trips 69 - Service Truncated to Newington Hospital, Service Reduced The current 69F rush hour route between Downtown Hartford and Newington Hospital will now become the full-time pattern Service on the current main route via Willard Avenue south of Newington Junction CT Fastrak station will be discontinued The new CT Fastrak Route 125 will replace the main route south of Newington Junction, introducing Sunday service to area Off-peak service (except evening) will now operate every 40 minutes instead of every 30 minutes 72 - Net Service Reductions 72A and 72F branches will operate every 40 minutes (20 minutes combined) instead of every 30 minutes (15 minutes combined) 72F branch will operate every 100 minutes instead of every 120 minutes 87 - Rush Hour Extension to MCC, Service Reduction Route will be extended to Manchester Community College during rush hours Service will operate every 40 minutes during rush hours instead of every 30 minutes 125 (NEW ROUTE) - Hartford to Newington via CT Frastrak Busway and Berlin Tpke Daily route, operating 7 days a week Replaces the 45, 47B, and 907 routes which will all be eliminated Replaces the 69 south of Newington junction CT Fastrak Station, providing Sunday service for the first time 140 - Route Eliminated For service between CCSU and Cedar Street, riders would need to use the 144 instead The 128 would serve as alternatives to/from Hartford The 128 and 507 would serve as alternatives to/from New Britain Service along Fenn Road would be replaced by the rerouted 69 144, 153 - Peak Hour Service Improvements Buses will now operate every 40 minutes instead of every 60 minutes during rush hours Hartford Express 906 - Reverse Peak Service Enhancements to Cromwell Park & Ride (Via Route 950) Peak 950 service to/from New Haven will now stop at Park & Ride (see Route 950 section below) AM reverse peak service to Cromwell will operate every 20-40 minutes Midday service to Hartford starting at 1 PM will now depart roughly every 70-80 minutes PM reverse peak service to Hartford will operate 20-60 minutes 907 - Route Eliminated Service between Newington Park & Ride and Hartford will now be provided by new CT Fastrak Route 125 instead on expanded schedule 912 - Route Truncated Service to Granby Congregational Park & Ride (current terminal) will be discontinued Buses will seemingly end around 1/2 mile outside of Downtown Granby because there are zero stops between Granby Congregational and the following stop 913 - Service Improvements Outside UConn School Year Weekday service will now operate on the UConn "school open" schedule throughout the year 919 - Service to No Longer Stop at Country Club Park & Ride Users will need to use Bee Street Park & Ride or Cromwell (Industrial Park Road) Park & Ride 923 - Weekday Service Reductions Service spans will be reduced during both AM and PM peak periods AM service to Hartford cut from 5 trips to 3 trips PM service to Bristol cut from 5 trips to 3 trips Alternative service will be available on Route 102 950 - Route & Stop Changes Service to Country Club Road Park & Ride will be discontinued Buses will now stop at Cromwell (Industrial Park Road) Park & Ride in place of discontinued Country Club Rd P&R stop Provides additional service to/from Cromwell Park & Ride during reverse peak and midday hours (see Route 906 section above) New Haven Area 201 - AM Service Span Expansion The first bus of the morning to Madison will now depart at 5:00 AM instead of 5:50 AM 204 - Route Truncated to Momaguin, Service to Short Beach & Branford Discontinued The 204M variant will now become the sole route pattern for all trips Rush hour service to Short Beach will be discontinued with no replacement bus service at all For service to Branford and Main Street riders will need to use Route 201 More frequent service to Momaguin will be provided 215 - New Sunday Service Buses will now operate on Sundays along the entire route, every 90 minutes Service will operate from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM Weekday and Saturday schedules will change to meet new 567 route in Wallingford 223 - Service Expansion to Walmart Most weekday 223 trips during the day will be run past Clinton Park to/from Walmart 228 - Service North of Hamden Town Hall Eliminated Service to Quinnipiac University and Cheshire will now longer be served by Route 228, "C" variant discontinued Several weekday trips will be eliminated altogether Service on the discontinued route will be provided by Route 229 Unclear if service to Hamden Plaza will be eliminated 261X - Service Reduced Most service will be eliminated because of implementation of new Route 262 (see below) 262 (NEW ROUTE) - Downtown New Haven to CT Post Mall via I-95 and Orange Business District Service will operate daily, with hourly service to improve connections with employment centers Buses will serve locations including VA Errera Community Care Center, FedEx, United Illuminating, Marsh Hill Road, Connair Road, and Oyster River Business Park Service will be partially supplemented by Route 261X 268 - All Service Extended/Diverted to West Haven RR Station, Service to Bull Hill Discontinued All 268 trips will operate as the current 268C service pattern, extended to/from West Haven RR Station Service to Buel Hill will be discontinued and will continued to be provided by the 265B instead 274 - Weekday Service Span Reduction The 274/268 combo trip at 5:45 AM from Downtown New Haven will (at the very least) will no longer serve 274 segments, first bus will now be at 6:15 AM Central CT (New Britain, Meriden, Wallingford) 291 - Elimination of Branch to Meriden Only Served Once a Day The final 3:45 PM trip of the day (4:00 PM from Burke Heights) will no longer run past Wallingford Center to Meriden Transfer is needed to the 215M which will make those stops 512 - Route Changes, Stop Additions along Berlin Turnpike Corridor Buses will now stop at Brickyard Plaza, Newington Fair, Newington Plaza and Turnpike Plaza in both directions New stops will be added on Richard Street, Willard Avenue and Louis Street Part-time service to Eversource will be added 561 - Service Cuts Midday hourly service on weekdays and Saturdays will now start at 9:00 AM instead of 10:00 AM (1 trip discontinued) Evening hourly service on weekdays and Saturdays will now start at 6:00 PM instead of 7:00 PM (1 trip discontinued) 566 - Route Streamlined Service will no longer serve Liberty Street or Research Parkway Service on discontinued segments will be provided by new Route 567 Map of route changes not currently available 567 (NEW ROUTE) - Meriden to Wallingford via Research Parkway Route will operate hourly, 7 days a week Route will replace 566 on Liberty Street and along Research Parkway Provides new service to USPS Sort Center and Amazon BDL5 Fulfillment Center Stamford Area 331S -
