Mpn4179 Posted November 11 #1 Posted November 11 From the Amtrak website: Effective November 10, 2024: Due to the upcoming repairs for the East River Tunnels in NYC, the following changes will occur: The Capital Limited (Train 29 & 30) and the Silver Star (Train 91 & 92) will be combined to create the Floridian (Train 40 &41). The Floridian will operating between Miami and Chicago via Washington D.C. The Floridian will be using Silver Star equipment while the Superliners used on the Capital Limited will be used on the Western Long Distance routes. https://media.amtrak.com/2024/09/amtrak-launching-the-floridian-with-daily-service-between-chicago-and-miami/ Effective November 11, 2024 Empire Service Changes: 10 daily trips will be reduced to 8 daily trips Trip times will be adjusted to 30 minutes earlier and 10 minutes later.
