Harry Posted June 18, 2007 Share #1 Posted June 18, 2007 Just waiting on someone people to get this board started. I just thought I'd start something going. I've gone to Philadelphia at least four times in the last year and a half and I always end up driving. I think I'm driving too much. Maybe I'll take a train out there one day. Pablo M 201 Posted June 18, 2007 Share #2 Posted June 18, 2007 Take NJT NEC to Trenton then R7 to Philly. Or, NJT NEC to Trenton, then RiverLINE to Camden and then take PATCO to Philly from there. And its cheaper than Amtrak, but if you want to go direct and fast, take Amtrak.

PATCOman Posted June 19, 2007 Share #6 Posted June 19, 2007 I take several trips to Philly. What I usually do is take the NJT (or PATH to NJT) to Trenton, then take the SEPTA R7 to Bridesburg, then walk about 15 minutes to Frankford Transit Center, then take the MFL from there. Trainspotter Posted June 19, 2007 Share #7 Posted June 19, 2007 NJT NEC to Trenton, then RiverLINE to Camden and then take PATCO to Philly from there. How long would you say is this route? it seems like a nice way to spend an afternoon.
Pablo M 201 Posted June 19, 2007 Share #8 Posted June 19, 2007 I'll say about 3 hours. Look at schedules on njtransit.com for the NEC to Trenton and RiverLine then look at the website for PATCO and look at their schedule.
Trainspotter Posted June 21, 2007 Share #9 Posted June 21, 2007 I take several trips to Philly. What I usually do is take the NJT (or PATH to NJT) to Trenton, then take the SEPTA R7 to Bridesburg, then walk about 15 minutes to Frankford Transit Center, then take the MFL from there. That one seems to be the longest way. I would like to try this route one day.
PATCOman Posted June 22, 2007 Share #10 Posted June 22, 2007 Its a great way if you are on a tight budget. Its only $3 from Trenton to Bridesburg and $7 to Center City. You can also take the 25, 73, or 84 buses from Bridesburg to Frankford Transit Center.
