MTR Admiralty Posted December 14, 2008 Share #51 Posted December 14, 2008 Well, that wouldn't really be good since Chinatown is already crowded enough! Yeah, it is too complicated. Chinatown has worsened traffic complications over the past 5 years primarily because of an increase of the intercity Chinatown buses and the Flushing/8th Avenue vans. MTR Admiralty Posted December 15, 2008 Share #54 Posted December 15, 2008 Back on Topic: Well, I've got nice station locations already: After Main Street Will Be: 1. Northern Blvd - RT-25A (Northern Blvd + Roosevelt Ave + 156 St) 2. Sanford Ave-43rd Ave. (Northern Blvd + 167 St) 3. Utopia Parkway (Northern Blvd + 190 St) 4. Francis Lewis Blvd (Northern Blvd + Francis Lewis Blvd) 5. Bell Blvd (Northern Blvd + Bell Blvd.) 6. Springfield Blvd. (Northern Blvd + 220 Pl) 7. Douglaston Parkway (Nothern Blvd + Douglaston Pkwy) *8. Little Neck Parkway (Northern Blvd + Little Neck Pkwy) *=Last Stop... ~Runoff Tracks be implemented from Little Neck Pkwy to Glenwood St. Have the or (11) Train run on that line... ___________ Or if the Queens Blvd Line Gets a go, well I'll say: Station @ Main St. and Union Tpk. Station @ Parsons Blvd. and Union Tpk. Station @ Utopia Pkwy and Union Tpk. (Turn on Utopia) Station @ LIE and Utopia Pkwy. Station @ Peck/Underhill Ave and Utopia Pkwy. (Follow from Station #3 listed above)... Have the or run on that line... Nice plans. However... I intend on a full Northern Boulevard subway that connects to the Second Avenue Subway. I advocate a Union Turnpike line, all the way to Glen Oaks. And Horace Harding is still a valuable corridor.

RokuSix Posted December 17, 2008 Share #57 Posted December 17, 2008 I've secretly fantasized about a Bronx-Queens Crosstown Line. This line would reduce the need for Bronx/Queens buses, therefore reducing service delays in the Bronx on routes such as the Q44 and QBx1 caused by bridge traffic. It would serve Throgs Neck and Bayside, respectively. I'll draw up a map and plan it out better later. This stupid computer has no imaging program whatsoever. RokuSix Posted December 18, 2008 Share #59 Posted December 18, 2008 Here we go, my proposal! This line would meet the 6 at Westchester Square underground, then proceed down East Tremont Avenue. It would cross, running between the Throgs Neck and Whitestone Bridges in an underground tunnel. From there, it would proceed along Francis Lewis Boulevard to Northern Boulevard. But I have yet to decide...in which direction should it turn?
metsfan Posted December 18, 2008 Share #60 Posted December 18, 2008 Ok, would it be below the water in the ground, or tube laid on the riverbed? Where would it connect to the ? - A

Where would it connect to the ? - A It would be an underwater tube. I was thinking of having it split into two branches at Northern Boulevard- one to head into Flushing to connect with the , and another to serve the rest of the more residential area. The Flushing Branch: The Eastbound Branch:
