Shortline Bus Posted December 20, 2008 Share #51 Posted December 20, 2008 Here is my idea... All times except nights from 168 St to Rockaway Park via local. Nights to Euclid Av only via local. All times from 207 St to Far Rockaway via express All times from 145 St to Lefferts Blvd via local. All times from Euclid av to Rockaway Park. Open 4 ideas. Way too long Fresh Pond of extending the "C" to Rock Park. Plus Rockaway Park has the lightest ridership in NYC subway. You dont need '2' lines on Rock Parkway coordior. You aware how bad the "R" train is being local? It was reason in 1988, the MTA decided to end the running to the Rockways in 1st place. Regarding the (H)IMO that should be the new name of the <A>Rock Park branch. Keep it as rush hour only line. The©should just run between 168th and Lefferts with some trains start/end at Euclid rush hours. The Rockaway Park (S)can not terminate at Euclid other than late nights because it would delays/congestion problems. Just my takes
FlushingExpress Posted December 20, 2008 Share #52 Posted December 20, 2008 I would have all A trains run to Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue and extend the C to Lefferts Boulevard, having run as a shuttle late at nights. Keep the E and Rockaway Park Shuttle the same, though the latter needs to run more often
