Proposed Fare Increase in Rockland County

Have anyone heard about Rockland County is also proposing fare hike on Transport of Rockland, Tappan Zee Express, Spring Valley Jitney, Clarks-Mimi Trans, T.R.I.P.S, and Super Saver tickets.

 

Transport of Rockland will raise from $1 to $1.50

Super Savers Ticket (strips of 20: TOR Fare need 2 tickets) will increase from $7 to $9.

 

TOR Transfer will be from $0.10 to $0.20.

Senior Disable fare remains $0.40.

Senior Disable Fare Transfer is rise from $0.10 to $0.15.

 

Tappan Zee Express fare will be from $1.50 to $2.

Transfer fee from TZX from $0.40 to $0.50.

Senior Citizens who ride TZX fare remain $0.60.

Super Savers Ticket: 3 tickets required for TZX. See TOR.

 

UniTicket Bus Portion only (Weekly): Increase from $10.25 to $13.50.

UniTicket Bus Portion only (Monthly): Increase from $30 to $40.

 

TRIPS

Cash Fare: $1 to $1.50.

TIX (book of 10): $7.50 to $9.

ADA: $2 to $3.

 

Rockland Community College/Dominican College Students Discount Bus Pass (3 month semester): $48 to $50.

Eco/County Employee fare increase from $0.40 to $0.50 on TOR Local.

Eco/County Employee fare increase from $0.60 to $0.70 for TZX.

 

Clarkstown Mimi Trans:

Cash fare will increase from $1 to $1.50.

Transfer fee increase from $0.10 to $0.30.

Senior/Disable fare increase from $0.30 to $0.40.

If the TZX ran more frequently then I wouldn't mind paying $2. However, at its current level of service $2 is BS.
