Amtrak Gets Approval To Build New Bridge Over Hackensack River

I saw an interesting thread at Subchat. The Federal Railroad Administration approved Amtrak's plan to construct a new 3 track bridge over the Hackensack River. The bridge will replace the 98 year old bridge that is currently in place. This will relieve a major bottleneck along the Northeast Corridor. For most on this article:

This is incredible news. This plus the ARC = huge huge increase in trains per hour capacity. Right now trains have a very low speed restriction, plus i believe they limit it to max of 1 train at a time.
